My research examines the effects of the emerging honey bee pathogen, Nosema
ceranae, on the physiology and behaviors involved with the
Both an adult male Barrow's Goldeneye and an adult female Barrow's were present
at Canal Park in Duluth today, but they were not associating with each other.
The male Barrow's was instead paired with a female Common, as first noticed by
Mike Furtman who found the bird about an hour before I
Jim Peterson and I took a drive from Rochester through Whitewater to
Kellogg late afternoon. Most notable was 7 Rough-legged Hawks, 5 of which
were dark phase. Two have been seen together for several days east of Roch.
One wonders if they would be paired?
