I was in Kittson County for a co Maybe John just answered my question. I was in Kittson County for a couple of days, and saw a group of 17 marbled godwits (July 1) in a large field.  I pulled over to look at them - count them - and try to get a photo.  They took off in a generally SSE direction

Over the last 10+ years, I have searched for Henslow's Sparrow in Benton County every spring and summer with no success. Last night, I finally found not just one, but 2 of them calling from a field in an area where I had least expected them. From what I can determine, this is a county record.

Several people Just a quick update before the long holiday weekend... Several people have emailed, or stopped by, to say they've seen the Henslow's sparrow(s) east of the Blue Hill Trail parking area.  The mute swan was not in the pond across from the wildlife drive entrance this morning.
