A short walk this afternoon in a park in my neighborhood turned out to be quite birdy. 2 flycatchers: Great Crested & Least 6 or 7 warblers: yellow-rumps, Ovenbird, Black & White, Orange-crowned, Nashville, American Redstart, and probably a singing Cerulean. It is a pretty distinctive song. I

I live in Thief River Falls, Pennington County, and have yet to see a bluebird this spring. Usually I see several in March or early April, then by May , the main migration shows up.I think they must have run into some of the snowstorms further south causing them to turn south again. I expect

I made an obvious error in my posting. See the highlighted correction below. Julian Last year I made charts of the population trends of a number of species from the BBS results for all of the years available—1966 to 2017. The BBS web site now contains results for the years 1966 to 2019.
