lot on the northwest corner of School Grove lake in Lyon Co.

Late this morning I had four beautifully plumaged Smith's Longspurs at the Echo
sewage ponds. They are located west of Echo on Yellow Medicine co 1 a little
over one mile. They were right behind the gate.

Just finished three straight days of doing Christmas counts
Lac Qui Parle I believe we set a record number of spcies with 47. Highlights
were four species of Geese(Whitefronted 4,Snow 12, Cackling 24,Canada
50,000+),Pelican 4, seven species of ducks including Black Duck, Ring-necked
Duck,Ruddy
Sorry for late post. Curtis Lake in Southeast Yellow Medicine Co. is a game
lake project of the DNR and DU which has lower the lake so that there is
substancial mud flats. Last Thursday I had Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs,
Sanderling, Buff Breasted, Pectal and Semi-palmated Sandpipers, and Kill
