I spotted a NORTHERN SHRIKE at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park along
Coon Creek on Sunday January 27. Seems like there have been many
sightings of NORTHERN SHRIKEs in the Metro area this winter.
Also observed a very active beaver both Saturday and Sunday in Coon
Creek where it empties into
I had another Northern Shrike take a run at the Goldfinches and Chickadee's at
my feeders
today while PFW counting.. 2nd time I've had one for PFW in the last few weeks,
I'm
guessing that it might be hanging around the area..

On the way to lunch we observed a Northern Shrike hunting at the corner of
122nd st and Morgan in Hastings. This is the portion of Hastings north of the
bridge in Washington County/Denmark Township. It was still in the area when we
drove by on the way back from lunch an hour later.

This morning I went to the sod farm where Bob Ekblad found the Buff-breasted
Sandpipers earlier this fall. This is on Jeffery Ave. just north of Hwy 95

Hi Birders,
During our afternoon run, we found a Northern Shrike
