Not yet in Minnesota, but approximately 8 miles south in Allamakee County, Iowa along the Upper Miss- a mixed flock of about 300 males, both adult and first spring birds. It is difficult to find much open water along the Mississippi River in Houston County, but likely to change soon. Steven

Perhaps of interest: Five Red-winged Blackbirds seen today in SE Morrison County, 2 were females. I suspect these are wintering birds with the 10 Starlings in the same tree. Many Common Redpoll flocks including Benton County w/ one female Hoary, few Horned Larks, Red-tailed Hawk pairs. Seen
