From someone that sat thru all of the testimony today and heard all that was said yes the council did do it's job in this case. RT was only opposed to the High Tower not the whole project. Yes this whole thing was long and drawn out, and thought out in the end. It was not just quickly rushed

Our existing zoning does not prescribe that buildings be 4 stories or shorter. It simply says you do not have as many reviews to build that. Many people have this idea that by requiring developments to be four stories or less, we'll have a better project. For example, the development at

I believe the Council Members did their job today. They listened to their constituents and did not fold to a developer or to a former CM member whispering in everyone's ear. Perhaps zoning laws should be upheld, perhaps 28% run off is too high, perhaps 13 stories is too tall, perhaps
