I have nearly, nearly finished the post for this scenario. I just need to
include the script snippets now.
As soon as it's done I'll send the link.
All TS creation is scripted.

I'm at a Client now who has several very special applications that I just
wrapped with script, and they have custom detection scripts and an uninstall
script . the application model is quite flexible in this respect.

Are they going onto the MP? Check to see the flow there, it sounds like the MP
is not being updated.
Check out the CM12 SP1 toolkit, or if this is for CM07 locate its toolkit for
the tools that let you look at policy on the MP and Client.
On the same subnet you don't need anything. Using VLAN's you need an
IPHelper.

Microsoft recommend to use Ip Helper for PXE in different subnets. But using
DHCP options is still supported.

Using DHCP options is officially _not_ supported by Microsoft, see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926172/en-us and
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259670/en-us.
I've never seen it causing issues though - even in very large scale
networks.

I want to enable the Windows 8 support platform for bunch of packges.
SO is their any script or any easy way to do the for 100's pakcages ?
Hi All,
How to do the automation for enabling the PXE role in SCCM 2007..
Before that i need to enable the WDS role in that server.for 100's of
servers.
I would say its down right easy, all program settings are controlled via the
ProgramFlags property. I also know there is some conversion involved but once
you have it working on one package you can run it against all your other
packages.

Its still the same basic mechanism, you need two wsus servers. One is internet
connected and gets the updates from Microsoft, you then put those updates and
metadata on removeable media and import them into the wsus server that
I think the first statement you are referring to is when DHCP and the PXE
service point reside on the same server. That is the only situation where you
would be forced to configure the dhcp options.
I thought this was an XP issue only !
Build a new Win7 image in hyperv, captured with MDT.
Deployed back to new VM = ok, deployed to two physical machines one intel one
amd.
Intel one = ok, AMD = boot loop.
Is the intelppm thing still relevant or could this be something else?

I believe you have to add the attribute first to your system discovery, then
you can add that field.

So, our OSD guys have tried opening a ticket with Microsoft and that hasn't

We have an OSD interview screen that is written and compiled in WinBatch.

I haven't tried WinBatch, but I have seen similar issues with other frontends.
Try to use an AutoIt script that's sets the Z-order of windows (sets the
WinBatch window in focus).

you could use a *status filter rule* to run a program (to do your snmp
action) when the event you are trying to detect occurs

I just deleted 5,000 SCNotify and _SCNotify files from the SCCM client logs
folder on a Citrix server. This was 300MB of files.
What can be done to mitigate this? It was not the first time, so I don't think
this is a one-off.
Thanks.

i think you need this code in winbatch
ProgressUI = ObjectCreate(Microsoft.SMS.TsProgressUI)
ProgressUI.CloseProgressDialog;Close the SCCM task sequence bar while
displaying an interface
;(it will automatically start when this script finishes)
ObjectClose(ProgressUI)

I figured it was possibly a common problem since Citrix is common.
I can prune them with some kind of automation script, but that would be crap.
Of course, we are possibly seeing Citrix step on WMI classes in root/ccm as a
chronic issue, so I'm not a friend 'o Citrix at the moment.
