How about, using maik koster solution to get the disabled computers into sccm
database and then try to compare these disabled computers(AD) with sccm
computers (kind of vlookup).

We did look at putting multiple images on the disk but it's not supported by
Prestaged media as there can only be a single image referenced.
We could go down the custom scripts route but we really want to keep it as
simple as possible.

If you re-image a machine, are the latest updates injected in the WIM or
perhaps advertised toward the unknown or osd deployment collection, etc? That
way the updates should be installed at build time.
If not, perhaps a compliance setting that checks the status and compliance

What if you are re-imaging a machine? If the machine was discovered when it
was created a month ago by System Discovery, it won't show-up in the
collection of new machines.
How do you get around something like this?

Also set a high coll refresh on this, maybe 30 minutes. It's not a big hit
either and it works quite well.

There's a push here to enable transactional replication of the ConfigMgr
database for an enterprise reporting project. I just wanted to know if
transactional replication of the database is supported, any adverse effects I
should be aware of and if anyone has some recommended reading for me to
If history of that machine is not important, delete machine from SCCM before
re-image. That should create new record in SCCM after re-image and creation
date will be also be new, so it will fall in to new machines collection.

Transactional replication of the site database is only supported for the MP
role. This is so because only a subset of the site database is used by an MP,
and not the entire database.
