As others have said, we have a collection Deploy Windows 7 that we put
computers in when we want them to be imaged. Then reboot to pxe. There is a
role that removes them from the collection and clears the required pxe
deployments automatically when the task sequence completes successfully.

My org has tight control over who can use SCCM console, and even tighter
control of task sequences
Create a collection, deploy an 'available' OSD Task Sequence to it, and put
the machines in there as you need to image them. Remove them when they are
done.
Boom goes the dynamite.

The issue is if the computer already exists within SCCM and you PXE the same
machine, it will abort PXE booting until it’s deleted from SCCM.

You need to clear the required PXE deployments on the computer. Right click
the computer in SCCM and select that option.

Which version of SCCM are you running? What we have done is that we deploy
an available task sequence in SCCM 2012 that is only visible to USB or
PXE. That way an end user can't accidentally run it from within the
Software Center. When we were on SCCM 2007 I created a Reimage collection
