I took a look at the code for the MSDOS version and it looks pretty
straightforward to me. The Basic program is huge (150k), but it could
probably be split into smaller fragments that can be compiled with the
Microsoft Bascom compiler. Don't know about the size of the data structures
though.

You could write assembly routines and add them to a library. I did this
for a quickbasic program once (way back when I still programmed in DOS and
QuickBasic) and it sped up screen writes enormously.

I'm using Trunks' LOADROM.COM to try and run roms on my Phillips NMS-8250
MSX2 computer, with 256KB of RAM. No matter what ROM I try to load, however,
the program freezes when it gets to RAM page 6 of 6. Could anyone help me,
