The ESE interface uses some expensive parts, which makes it
technically superior to any other I/F.
Hm. It's better because it's more expensive? Not quite my idea
of quality :-)
Your statement is the same as
saying: "I'm not willing to buy a Turbo-R because an MSX2 is way
cheaper"

ESE guys are selling Mega-SCSI, built with 256 Kb of SRAM, for less than
US$ 180 (shipment included), I think. So, you should talk with them, from

Not! I can boot from the A: drive from my Mega-SCSI. It's a RAMDISK, built
into my Mega-SCSI, so with Mega-SCSI we can boot even only with it, you
don't need even a HD or a Zip Drive,
I guess the external SCSI-model couldn't handle SCSI ID 0???
External ZIP SCSI handles only ID 5 and 6.
No prob for the Bert-interface. If you've got a HD hangin' on ID 0 for
booting, you can use all other ID's. You just can't boot from the ZIP-drive.
But hey! Who's got a SCSI-interface but
Hi,
Is anyone able to make Megascsi over here (in Europe or The

Here in Brazil, Ademir Carchano (ACVS) make MegaSCSI for about
US$200. A friend of mine bought one and it works perfectly.

Yep, I'm not willin to pay about Hfl.300 for a Japanese SCSI I/F,
