The first time I laid my hands on an MSX I POKED the PSG register 7
directly... with 00xx!!! My 8250 sounds real bad when doing phaser
effects, so I presume perhaps I blowed something with that POKE?!?!?

A lot of NMS8250/55/80 computers have an assembly error in the audio
output circuitry. Perhaps that's what bothering you.

NMS8250/55: R428R429 (100R) should both be replaced by an elco
100uF/10V with the negative side towards connector 'AB'.

NMS8280: R426 (100R): replace by 100uF/10V (same as above)

Yea, right, but how can someone who will
not be in Bussum have access to this CD?
And what about the quality? There are no
samples in the page. And is this CD for
fans or for profit? I'm rather curious
about these issues.

Re: MSX mouse info

1999-08-03 Thread Adriano Camargo Rodrigues da Cunha

MkII,

I'm seeking MSX mouse info (hardware, software, programming, interfacing, etc.)
 We've developed a sexy multi-platform feature-packed mouse/trackball and
we'd like of course to include full MSX support.

If you can (it's very hard), contact Ademir Carchano.
He knows every pin and voltage of MSX mouse.
He's the make of AdMouse!

Re: MSX Web Ring - kinda gone?

1999-08-03 Thread Adriano Camargo Rodrigues da Cunha

Manuel,

Did you notice that the picture of the MSX web ring is gone?
What can we do about it?

I talked with Aleck Zander, MSX Web Ring founder, and he explained
me that the home site in UNESP university is out because now he's
graduated. But he promised me he'll fix this and soon the MSX Web Ring
Home Page will be back.
After all, you can still add your page to the ring in the
www.webring.org site.
