Re: FS-A1GT versions
Hello again Maybe it is one of the first pics that Panasonic made of their "incoming" MSXturboR FS-A1GT, when it was only a prototype. Yes, I dindn´t notice the third hole! I think that the picture is not a trick (someone propagating false FS-A1GT photos? naaa) and I also discard a modification of a "normal" FS-A1GT. I think that we should know the "source" of this picture to know what exactly is. Greets MSX Mailinglist. OK, let's share all our gamecovers then! Ok! Start downloading and uploading! ;-) FTP host, user name and password? Got a cover of Super Laydoc tonight... Normally it's ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/incoming user anonymous, password e-mail addres. But then you have to give it the right name and first check if it's not there yet (in ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/graphics/jpg/gamecovers/). Yeah, and this one is very good too...do you know Hype for MSX? This one is really cool, as good as Zanac, but it looks like no one knows it I know it, I even have the original disk! Re: games
Hi everyone, For some time now I've been thinking about making the engine we used for PA3 and The Lost World public domain. reason is simple: Stefan Boer did one hell of a job programming it, and programmed it in such a way that it is practically a game builder. Of course, if people are interested, I shall also write an extensive help text (or a course) explaining how everything works and how to build an RPG. If you like this idea and are interested, let me know, because I'd only do it if enough peopel will use it. I have little free time to spend on MSX and what free time I have I spent mainly on Realms of Adventure. if the engine is released it will be the adapted engine I used for The Lost World rather than the original engine I used for PA3. It features: - MAIN engine (supports Moonsound Music) - FIGHT engine - Map editors and Enemy editor - Fkernel for complete disk operating system Of course, an RPG created with this engine has some feautures that cannot be (easily) changed, the most important are: - NO scroll, but rooms - 16x16 objects (= persons and monsters) - max. of 3 free objects per screen If anyone wants more specific info, let me know. If enough people are interested, the engine will be released through MCCW, and I shall also start an RPG course there. Gtz, Peter Meulendijks ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) UMAX MSX Mailinglist. Hype is from Methodic Solutions, and I guess it was only released in disk I KNOW Silpheed, it's GREAT!! The PC version also is good (But with worse graphics), but the Sega CD rocks! RE: Top 100 MSX games
I have a modified Philips 8250 with 512Kb RAM and MSX2+ switchable for nothing if you kan help me out with a few MSX harddisk related problems: I have a non functional IDE interface (bought it a couple of years ago, they promissed it would work and that they would send me a plastic case for it, but till now nothing) and my other modified 8250 has problems with transferring files from one partition to another on a SCSI harddisk or ZIP-drive. (MK SCSI sitting in a slot of a slotexpander. The spare slot of the 8250 is bugging. At the moment a FMpak works in it, but a 1Mb Ram cartridge won't work in it or in the slotexpander.
