My folders are being sorted using folder-hook . set sort=threads in ~/.muttrc. What
I've noticed is that new messages that aren't part of a thread are sorted by date
received. This morning I received a messsage that became message number 1 in that
folder for some reason, and I'm not sure
you are correct...i should have noticed that...

I'd like to configure Mutt to read my messages on a MS-Excange server
(MSSERVER) of my office LAN.
I've tried all the configuration proposed in the manual for IMAP to no
avail.
It shouldn't be that difficult because with Netscape I simply chose an
IMAP server, gave my email address [EMAIL

This might not be perfect, but it works for me:
set imap_user=fagerj
set imap_pass=xx
set folder={192.168.110.81:143}
set mbox==INBOX

Has anyone run into any problems with setting the $folder_index
variable? Whenever I attempt to set this variable I get an error that
tell's me that '%Z' is not an available variable.

Seems simple enough, but forward just forwards and dosen't attach the

I think I said that right.

Well, there is no $folder_index variable (is there?)

Yes I did mean $index_format. I only misquoted myself in my

I figured something out. I can set $folder_index under normal
circumstances, but when I attempt to set this variable with the
folder-hook, I am told that the %Z doesn't exists. Strangeness.

I'm curious if I can compile mutt 1.2.5i to include support for POP3,
IMAP, and local mail at the same time. Then it would just depend on the
users' .muttrc file as to which they use right?
Can I do this with just --with-POP3 --with-IMAP (or whatever the options
are) in the configure script?

This is partialy OT. I'm recompiling Mutt to work better on Solaris
using ncurses. But when I compile ncurses, it fails to create the
terminfo on the make install.
I'm in a lab situation, so I pass this to ncurses' configure script:
./configure --prefix=/public/i86pc/ncurses-5.2

This sounds like some additional quoting is needed:
