Re: manually check pgp sig?
I don't like to automatically check signatures on message opens, but I'd like to be able to do it manually, yet I can't find a command to do this. I'm not talking about setting pgp_verify_sig but rather a command that I can issue to do this at any time while viewing the message. Press "|" (pipe to command) and type "gpg --verify"? -- smund Skjveland ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) PGP signature
How to show attatchments
I've set up my .mailcap so that when I try to view an shudder HTML mail, it is passed to lynx which parses it and returns formatted text. This is the entry: text/html; lynx -dump -force_html %s; copiousoutput; What I'd like to do is to have this shown like a normal mail, so that mutt has lynx parse the mail automatically instead of having to view the HTML attachment separately. Anyone? -- smund Skjveland ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) PGP signature
Is the subscribe command good for anything?
I use mutt 1.2.5, and read a few mailing list. I also use automatic filtering of my mail to put it all in the appropriate mailboxes. And I'm wondering what the subscribe command in mutt does, other than showing what mailing list the mail was sent to rather than who sent it. Since each mailing list goes in its own mailbox, I already know the mails were sent to the mailing list in question, and would much rather see who sent the mail. So, does the subscribe command have any actual use, or is it just there to annoy? Even if I tell mutt "unsubscribe [EMAIL PROTECTED]", the list-reply command still works. -- smund Skjveland ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) PGP signature
1.2.1

Tagging messages
What's the point of being able to tag messages, when you can't do anything useful with it, such as deleting all tagged messages in one fell swoop? -- Åsmund Skjæveland ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) PGP signature
Re: Saving unencrypted versions of encrypted outgoing mails
% When I send an encrypted mail to somebody, the encrypted version is saved in % =sent-mail. What I'd (in retrospect) sometimes like is an unencrypted % version saved too, preferably automatically. Is this doable? Yep, in version 1.2 (and probably 1.1.x for x 11 or so). The manual says 6.3.41. fcc_clear Type: boolean Default: no When this variable is set, FCCs will be stored unencrypted and unsigned, even when the actual message is encrypted and/or signed. If you encrypted your original messages to yourself (so that you can read them now), then you can mass-convert a folder by tagging everything and then using decrypt-save (which I, for instance, have bound to S with Encrypting to myself would be even better.
