That's true. However, convention is *also* important, and Mutt's convention
is...unconventional. Most email systems usually use FW: at the beginning to
indicate that the email has been forwarded (if I'm not mistaken). Why shouldn't
Mutt do the same?

I know this is a *lot* of information, but I've been successfully juggling
several email accounts this way for a while now. I did *not* include my common
config (muttrc.local) because it's a *lot* and most of it is cosmetic or
heavily personalized. Let me

then use ~/.local/mail as the directory for notmuch, so it indexes all of my
emails from all accounts.

And then in my .muttrc, I have:
alternative_order text/plain text/html
auto_view text/html
This means that if the email exists in plain-text, I get that version.
Otherwise, it passes it through w3m and gives me the rendered HTML version.
Works pretty well imo!

I tend to think similarly. It's okay if receiving emails is a bit delayed or
runs into problems, but sending emails might well be time-sensitive, and I
_need_ to know that it went through (or ge

This suggests that _either_ something broke between 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 _or_ that
there's something wrong in terms of your config.

By the way, if anyone has a better way of testing whether an SPF record is
working correctly, please let me know! I don't really want to spam the list
with these kinds of emails unless I have to, although I *think* this should
work.

Please ignore. I'm trying to see whether I get tons of DMARC reports after I
updated my SPF record on my domain.

The way I did it for this list is:
send-hook ~tmutt-us...@mutt.org "set from='ಚಿರಾಗ್ ನಟರಾಜ್

You should be able to edit the mutt-users@mutt.org to be *@groups.io or
something (you may have to escape the asterisk?) and then use set from='Name
' as the command to run.

be enough to get you the bare essentials. If you've enabled
two-factor authentication (I recommend you do!), then you should go to
myaccount.google.com and generate an app password and use that for imap_pass
and smtp_pass instead of your real password.

I wonder if something else is wrong, though. Would you be able to attach your
configuration file *after deleting sensitive information* (for example, don't
keep the password in there!)? That may help us figure out what's going on.

Hi José!
Yes, that's mostly what I'm looking for, thank you so much! I think there are
some quirks I need to figure out with respect to mailing lists, but that's
probably something I can figure out.

to only toggle whether such a header
is set by Mutt (using the $from variable).
There's probably something basic I'm missing here, but I appreciate any
pointers towards a solution for this!
