Optimising my muttrc
Hello, I need some help with my muttrc. I'm still running 1.2.5 as I still can't get the pager to work in 1.3.27... I have 5 main e-mail addresses: [EMAIL PROTECTED], @x-ray.org, @imprezaturbo.org, @euronet.nl and @euro.net. I have set up different environments through folder-hooks in my muttrc, but not everything works correctly, for example the 'set postponed' option. What did I do wrong and how can I make my muttrc more readable and efficient? Any help is welcome.. So it looks like a problem with mutt (or something obscure with your Linux configuration, such as a broken iconv). That's what I'm thinking, too: iconv. Everything else runs fine on my machine, except mutt 1.3.x. But where do I start troubleshooting iconv... Ray --

Is there an asynchronous mode for this? Actually, I've seen something similar. If I write a very quick reply, the "Mail sent" message comes up immediately. If I write a long one, or stop and do something else instead and so on, there's a substantial delay before I get that. I had assumed that this was just due to the "doing something else" and that the process was swapped out or something. Could this be the solution? folder hooks and sendmailendmail
Hi, I can't seem to get mutt to use different sendmail settings for different folders: folder-hook "!" set sendmail="/usr/sbin/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED]" just makes mutt beep when switching to that folder... Collapsed threads and pattern tagging
Hi, If I have my threads collapsed in a mailbox, and tag them with T*, not all messages are selected; only the ones visible in the index! The messages that are hidden in the collapsed threads are NOT selected. How can I solve this apart from first expanding the threads? Ray -- Raymond A. Meijer True Bit BV

Multiple Personalities
Hi, I'm trying to create multiple personalities in mutt, each with his own settings. I went through doc and man pages and I've checked several web sites, but I don't get any further. I have several e-mail addresses like [EMAIL PROTECTED] and for example [EMAIL PROTECTED] I want to be able to receive all messages to these accounts into 1 mailbox and read that mailbox with mutt. That's easy enough of course. Now when I reply to a message sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED], the custom headers (From, Reply-To and Organization) and other settings for [EMAIL PROTECTED] should be used. When I reply to a message sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I want mutt to use the settings for that account. How do I set up something like that? I'm currently using several seperate accounts, which is really annoying... Can somebody send me some tips or point me to a web page? Thanks a lot!! Ray -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 2987375
