It's the way I keep things off my to-do list, definitely.

I'll try that for now. Is that what you use generally for keeping things
off your To-Do list (e.g. @Someday, @WaitingFor) or is there some better
way to do this?

You could try checking the box "hide the branch in to-do" that I described
to you a couple of emails ago.

One followup question: how do you get something to NOT show up in the next
actions view? Specifically, I don't want certain actions that are in
folders to show up as next actions as they are not something I'm ready to
start working on.

Dwight, thank you for the response! It makes a whole lot of sense now.
However, you're right; it should just be named Next Actions, and drop the
'by Project' part.

On my system, "Next Actions by Project" shows 16 projects and the next

Hi, Chris. If you are interested in hiding some items from the to-do views,
look in the "general" section of the task properties display in the right
hand pane for a checkbox called "Hide the branch in to-do"

I'd be happy for it to be a hotkey. I like the idea of using Tab to jump
through the fields in the MLO window, though.

Thanks for the response Lisa. It makes sense now. I thought it was hiding
it from the To-Do Views in general, but I now see that this particular
context is not listed in the Views Filters list.

So I just created a new MLO data file, input 20 tasks in the RTE box and
didn't assign any contexts or anything. I created 2 folders, moved one task
into each folder and then clicked on the To-Do tab and changed the view
to Next Actions by Project. Strangely, I see 3 tasks listed, even though

When you are defining/editing your view, there is a list of contexts that
you can use to quickly limit the view to a specific context. you can hide
contexts that you will never filter on from this list to make it clean and
tidy :-)

I've created a new context and under the properties tab, I clicked "Hide
this context in the To-Do list filter" and yet when I click on the To-Do
list tab, I still see tasks with this context. Am I missing something, or
does this do something else entirely? Thanks!

No, it looks like the only way to remove the icon from a view completely would
be to delete and recreate the view. The option to remove the icon ought to be
on Andrey's to do list.

Also triple-clicking does NOT select the entire task name (in the RTE box,
or the task title in either the list or the properties).. Which is
unfortunate because this is user-expected behavior and ironically slows
down your productivity when it doesn't respond the way you expect it to.

Hi,
Started migrating to MLO4, and have been playing a bit around with the new
review options.
It appears that the review setup is not synchronized to the cloud. Is this
deliberate or a bug?

What there was the ability to tag tasks? Then it could be up to the user if
this was meant to indicate a category, a sub-project status, or whatever.
And you could view, group, or sort by one or more tags. Just an idea.

Not wasted at all! Actually I think you have hit a bug. Since selecting a
view highlights a line, you should be able to select anywhere on that line.

Ooops. Now it asked me if I wanted to move the view. Where you "grab" the
view (ex: not on the icon) is important.
Sorry for the wasted bandwidth.

Hi Dwight (hope it's your first name)
Thanks for the tip. I have seen that at the begining of when I was using
MLO4 and probably gave the wrong answer :-(
I'll search how I can re-enable that behavior. If you know, that would help
me not wasting time ;-)

Hi, Jean-Marc. Just use drag&drop. When you first drag in the view list area,
MLO will ask if you want to use drag&drop, say yes.

I tried to remove the icon associated to a view but didn't find how.
Changing Icons is OK. I was expecting a" no Icon" icon in the list. Did I
miss it ?
