Thanks Ken!
1) agree since it would be more consistent. Implemented.
2) It is hard in current architecture. The good news however that I
have just added Undo/Redo for inserting tasks from RTE. Together with
selection in the Outline all just inserted from RTE tasks it is much
more useful I think.
My Diamond (1) shows plenty of lines. I use Tahoma 7 as the font and get 16
lines of items in the outline view and 14 in the To Do view. Any smaller and
I wouldn't be able to read it. My version is 3.01, so has the font size
functionality been removed in the later version?

Dear Andrey,
right clicking in Task Notes allows to Insert a link to a FILE.
Wouldn't it be good to also allow users to link to a FOLDER?
I usually store reference material in folders within my file system,
hence it would be very helpful, if for example a task, that works as a

Dear Andrey,
for different reasons, I'm working in a setup, where my main task
planning etc is been done within MLO, while ultimately I'm synching to
Outlook.
Since we now do have the ability to sort manually in MLO, it would be
very helpful, if the sequential number of a task would be handed
Just paste path to a folder to MLO notes manually or Use Insert a
link to a file, select a file from the folder you want to open and
then delete the file name part from the entire path. MLO will open the
folder now if you click to this link in note.

okay, Andrey, that works perfectly
Thanks, Eberhard

Perfect sense.
Appreciate your efforts Andrey.

Thanks for the clarification on the use of spaces in -toprj. I can
work around that.
A suggestion though, just to save typing two additional characters on
every single task. Could the shortcut be -prj -fld rather than -toprj -

Andrey,
Another quick observation.
Parsed tasks appear to be allocating themselves to already completed
tasks if there is a match with the parsed word. Is there any way to
restrict this to insertion under uncompleted tasks only?

Let me think. From the first view it is logical indeed.

I used -toXXX to not confuse with already existed keys which assign

Eberhard,
Well... it is not easy I must say. The problem is that only modified
tasks are synced to Outlook now. If you change the order of some tasks
the rest of the tasks are not considered as modified now and will not
be updated in Outlook. As a result the UDF with index will not be
updated for
The feature request is not trivial to implement in the current
architecture:
1) The computed score calculated only when todo list is created. The
algorithm should process all the tasks in a specific order. So it is
not possible to use it in AutoFormatting or Filter when any task can
be requested
ok, Andrey, I see your point... Nevertheless, thanks a lot for at
least thinking it over!

Thanks Andrey.
Forgive me for making the case a little more...
1) As it stands, from a practical point of view, users would probably
be restricted to parsing for very unusual words otherwise they would
have to remember the text in hundreds (maybe thousands!) of completed
tasks.
2) If you are
Speaking only personally of course, I had assumed this was fairly
trivial to implement. It's a 'nice to have' rather than a significant
improvement to the way I use MLO. I was just going to use it to
isolate the most important tasks in a list, as judged by their
computed score, but not having this
Hi Ken,
While you have made a good point, restricting parsing to to
uncompleted tasks will not help me all that much.
In April I will become a 5-year user of MLO. I have 12 thousand tasks
in my MLO file (I know, I really do need to purge my data file). I
have 3,500 uncompleted tasks in MLO (a
Hi Ron,
Thanks for such a considered response. It's always interesting to hear
about other people's work methods and how they are using MLO.
The conclusion I'm rapidly coming to is that nobody works in exactly
the same way as somebody else. This is why MLO is so good because it's
flexible enough
OK, understood. Still love the feature.
Possible bug: I have noticed that if I set the RTE to Inherit parent
contexts, this seems to be ignored when using -toprj
