[MLO] Importing from xml file

2012-06-05 Thread seckman
I am trying to import from another program, so I tried exporting from MLO to see what the xml file structure looks like. I was then not able to re-import the exported file and got an error message that it was an unknown xml format. Any suggestions? Steve -- You received this message

I am using the full version of the android app and desktop PC. The problem is that when I look in the outline view, I see everything. When I look in the Starred view or the Active by Context view, only some of the tasks show up and I don't understand. In the Outline, for example, I have 15 items

Does this happen on both platforms, or just Android? In MLO Help on the desktop, search for Active and look at the top entry. Does anything there help? It does sound like something strange is going on, because Starred on Android shows even hidden and inactive tasks that are Starred. You should

Try checking the times for the contexts on the desktop. I had a problem with this on one context, and unfortunately I couldn't get it to change so had to create a new context that was active all the time and then delete the rogue context, moving all items to the new one. Nick On Jun 5, 8:42 pm,

Now that I'm back at my desktop, I resynced. Now, I looked at Manage Contexts, and have found something. I used Getting Things Done Beginners Action template to create mine. The first three contexts are: !Actions !All Actions and !Errands (not to be confused with my @Errands). I don't know

I just realized that if I just delete the !Actions context, it deletes those from the column, and now everything works the way it is supposed to. Another question that I have, though is that in the right hand panel you can check off Included contexts. What does this mean and how is it useful?
