I have both the standard and source mysql, and I am attempting a link with a
simple program that calles mysql_server_init and mysql_server_end.
I have tried various library call outs to find these two calls in both the
standard and source mysql directories.
I have not located these in any of

I used mysqladmin to create a database and set the grant properties to
root@localhost with the password, but now am unable to use mysql at all.
How can I rectify this problem? When I try to access mysql I get

I have read that IBM has concluded that Linux is ready for the big time.
That may be true for Linux but I would doubt that the same could be said
for MySQL. For example the missing host.frm has been in threads in the
archive for a long time, I have been
