I used to transcode mpeg2 (pvr) -> mpeg4, however, given the file nuv format
is useless with anything but mythtv, I wen to the recoridng profiles and

As it's unix, you can run a native mythtv install on it. However, I
also tried it with a linux ppc install, and they both were lacking.
My advice is to look elsewhere, but ymmv.

I used myhthv on my mini, and it sucked at 1600x1200. I think it's way
under powered for mythtv, personally. I sold my mini and bought a
pundit-r, but that's too loud to use as a frontend. So I'm looking for
something else now.

Anyone know of a good, inexpensive fanless frontend barebones system I

Just wondering if you need any special coded to play a mythtv trascoded

Also, what's the easiest way to transfer video to a DVD? I suppose I'll

I was wondering if anyone had a pundit-r running with a celeron-d? I

I configured the xbox using xdebian 1.0.3 and the 4.4 scripts. I got it
working perfectly over composite video out, then plugged it to my TV

Is there a simple way to revert to 0.17 w/ apt on fc3? I want to use my xbox
frontend, but the .18 debian packages aren't out yet.
i tried this :
# rpm -q -a | grep myth | xargs rpm -e

I'm going to try to use the RPMs, following these instructions

I will report on my success or failure. In theory, it will let me
create debian packages from RPMs, but I'm not sure if everything will
get installed in happy pla
the latest version - not the beta. It actually seems like it's working.
I straced X and it notices the commands appearing (watched /dev/lircmd)
and mythfrontend seems to be watching /dev/lircd. Everything seems to
install, but the version mismatch (.17 on xbox, .18 on backend) brings

I've got a few issues. First off, after following the installation

Secondly, I finally got mythtv to come
this is perhaps a really dumb question, but my apt-get update && apt-get
upgrade didn't upgrade to .18. Is this becuase .18 is still marked as
being bleeding? If so, then when do you expect to move it to the main
distribution?

I was about to write an email about how I couldn't get the D10-200 to
work with any of the scripts, but then some trial and error (and some

command to make it work. I've added a comment to the wiki as such.

are you able to record and playback via the s/pdif connector? I know
that the record connector is a header on the motherboard itself,
thinking of just making an adaptor myself as I've no idea where I can
buy the special board that plugs into it.
