I would love to achieve the same with my SDTV that has component inputs, my
questions are:
1) Can this VGA - Component conversion be done for SDTVs (Not HDTV) and if
so is it worth it , in that will there be a significant increase in image
quality ?

Im currently using the latest myth-cvs packages
from Atrpms , and all works well except that mythtv crashes while playing music
in mythmusic and the Goom visualization is invoked. In a few
seconds I get a crash back to my desktop.
I am using Fedora Core 3 on an AMD64 system.

I want mythfrontend to automatically play a DVD (actually start playing the DVD
such that I would at the main menu of the DVD) from the mythtv main menu,
however I've had no luck to date. I have set all the configuration options that
I know about correctly:
A) Main Settings -- Set
What I had to do to get it working was rebuild from the source RPM provided at
ATrpms and exclude nvidia's XvMC.
rpmbuild -bb --define _without_xvmcnvidia=1 mythtv-cvs specfilename
This is not ideal as I would really love to benefit from XvMC , so if anyone
