other pages. That's great, and I'm using $HOSTNOTESURL$ in alert
emails. $HOSTNOTESURL$ seems to be stripping out the ampersand "&"

That should actually be quite easy, I've been using vmplayer
successfully for windows-on-linux compute images, etc. That'd also be
one take on deploying nodes for a distributed/remote nagios setup.

I work with a number of K-12 sites, and would like to see them use

The problem you are having lies *outside* of Nagios. You need to
configure the local system (where Nagios is installed) to properly send
oubound mail through the Exchange server.

I followed the steps as explained by you to configure the monitoring and
monitored host for the trusted ssh communication. But still if I do ssh
to the monitored host from the monitoring host, it is prompting for the
password. Might be something wrong somewhere I am doing.
