maros. Am i making a syntax error or what? I have looked at it too long

I have confirmed the package was configured with command args enabled and I
did turn on dont_blam_nrpe.

Thanks for the feedback Robert. I uncommented the allowed_hosts¹ and added
the public IP of my Nagios server. Everything seems to be working now.

Hi Gregory,
try to find out how the IP Adress of your Client (your nagios-server) is
mapped (you can use wireshark with filter "port 5666").
Then edit yout nrpe.cfg and insert this address to allowed_hosts.

When I run check_nrpe H 127.0.0.1 it resolves the NRPE version as expected.
Since my monitoring server is colocated and I plan to monitor hosts behind
firewalls I setup a test server behind my firewall at home for testing

are installed. After completing the installation of both the Nagios plug-ins
I´m testing Nagios NRPE and I´m finding serveral problems.
I´m working with:
- Nagios 2.9 on Solaris 9 (last CVS patch).
- NRPE 2.8.1 on Solaris 8 (last CVS patch).
- gcc 3.4.6
1) When I try to start a daemon using NRPE, I receive the message
"CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds.", althou
