Your help awaits -> http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id
Hi Maged,
You probably didn't have all the libraries needed to create it at
compile time.
Look at this FAQ from the support section on the Nagios site.it

You're missing the build dependencies for statusmap most likely.

You will need to create a check-host-alive command based on check_cluster.
Configure check_cluster to key off the 3 services you desire. Keep in mind
doing what you want to do will break parent/child relationships and host
"availability" monitoring.

Ah, that's very true - did you happen to check out the Presentation (think that's the category) over at NagiosExchange.org? I believe they have several alternatives.
There's also other things you could do

One method you can use is create 'dummy' parent objects. These parent
objects are stading in for hostgroups in functionality, but are to be used
for tidying up the auto-map layouts. Group all objects that you want
"clumped together" by setting them to have a common dummy parent. Name them

Hello,
are you shure the compiler can find the libs, is /etc/ld.so.conf and
have you tried to run ldconfig?
There is also an other way to tell the compiler the truth. You can tell
him the path to the libraries by using this
./configure --prefix=/usr
