If 6 for $100, I would probably be a player for 1 batch.
If $10 each, I would buy 100.
Personally, I like socketable tubes better. Ie. DR2000 (flat top).

Thanks all. If we have enough interest from at least 10 of you, I'll look
into making another batch. Please understand, this go-round I have ZERO
tubes. So they will have to be sold without and you will be on your own for
the tubes.

Agreed. 6 for $100 or so feels right.

I, too, missed out on the B-8971 clock as I was out of the country. Sign
me up if you make another batch. I already have the tubes !!!

These are a wired end view version of DR2000 numitorns and their ilk right?
Seeing as DR2000's sell for about $10 to $15 a pop, but these are end view
and more 'unusual', somewhere between $15 to $20 a piece would be a sweet
spot IMHO. Obviously, we'd all like to buy them for $1 a piece, but hey,
I have had a two digit clock using the ZM1350 running 24/7 for at least 7
or 8 years now. The tubes were bought from Jan.

Pete confirmed that they are all tested fully before shipping. Looking
forward to making a four-letter-word clock of my own with these!

I cant seem to find any warranty info on the PV site. Does anyone know if
the tubes he sells are tested or if there is a refund for DOA items?

Thanks. I have two B7971 clocks, and I've always thought that another one
using these would make an interesting addition. But, at ~$103 each, I might
have to re-think it. The last time I checked Jan's page several years ago,
I think they were $30-$40...
I appreciate the info about bad tubes,
If they originally came from Jan (in the last10 years) then they should all
work. A lot of ZM1350s out-gassed - I did bulk buys back in the late
'90s/early 2000s and of those "new in trays" I bought (several 100), maybe
20-30% were completely (irrecoverably) dead - no gas all all and wouldn't
The price will be approximately $25 per piece. What do you think about the
price?
