Ouch. I guess there's no chance for those of us who are late to the hobby to ever pick some of these up at "affordable" prices? (Affordable to me. I'm sure there's always going to be someone out there who's comfortable with it.) On Tuesday, 16 April 2019 06:56:31 UTC+8, Bill Notfaded

I doubt they will sell. If the asking price was low $200s or high $100s with a best offer option, he could probably sell for $140-$170 a tube and do so quickly. He can take his $260 + shipping 7971s to the afterlife as far as I'm concerned. On Tue, Apr 16, 2019, 10:29 AM Jasper C. wrote: >

Thomas, the audio levels standards do exist. But I agree with you that there isn’t just one. Each of the areas has its own standard. So, you do have a known standard for consumer electronics. You do have known standards for radio/entertainment, studio and professional work [pre DAWs]. And you

Could you use some jumpers and connect a John Taylor PS up in parallel and see I if that makes any difference? I think that would rule out the power supply? Just a thought. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group. To unsubscribe from

I think the FLW design is also multiplexed as opposed to direct drive. That could very well have something to do with the flickering. Is there any way to tweak the switching frequency of the mux or is it fixed? On Tue, Apr 16, 2019, 1:37 AM Michail Wilson wrote: > Strange, but it could still be

I was expecting to see the Z568M prices plummet when Dalibor started selling; instead I just see fewer for sale and always at a higher price. BTW, I was finally able to convince my wife I should investigate the RZ568M, so now I'm going to test the balance between my addiction and my wallet.

It's an interesting economic case study. While there clearly is demand for these tubes, hence the high price, I'm not sure that the economics of making a lot of them would hold up. There are a few people that clearly want them very badly but I suspect even if you only made a hundred, the price

Well Jens, maybe not $50, but if I wanted to sell them I would also try to be reasonable... the time value of money is also important right? $100 today is worth more than $100 1 year from today, inflation aside. Also how do you know I dont have a stack ;) On Tue, Apr 16, 2019, 12:45 PM
