I just managed to score five B-7971 tubes at an estate sale, and would like to
use them in a FLW. I was interested in the Jeff Thomas/Pete Hand kit, but
apparently their websites are no longer active. Are these kits still available
anywhere? Or other options, for that matter.

To the folks who are still running the "Giant Nixie Clock". From the early
1970's:
I built one of these way back when. Unfortunately, it is long gone, but as I
recall it treated the tubes as 7-segment devices, and so the 2 middle vertical
and the 4 diagonal segments will NEVER have been lit. A

Russian "A-bomb" in this weeks episode of Macgiver? Looks like old IV-22 vfd

Electronics kit with the Farny 568 tubes, and couldn't find a custom case, so
after looking around on the net i tried them.

I built one of these back in the early '70's. As I recall, it kept poor time, I
suspect from noise in the power line getting into the clock chip. At the time,
I lost interest and disposed of it. Grrr!
