I built one of these back in the early '70's. As I recall, it kept poor time, I suspect from noise in the power line getting into the clock chip. At the time, I lost interest and disposed of it. Grrr! Anyway, when an old-timer ham refers to "nets" he's referring to "On-Air" chat groups, not "On-Line".
