I'm currently using net-snmp 5.4.2 and configured according to:
http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/FAQ.html#How_can_I_reduce_the_memory_footprint_
but the code is still larger than 512K.
Are there things that can be done to reduce it more without doing
radical surgery ?

I want to set a OID parameter which is of type "COUNTER64" using 'snmpset'.
The parameter has MAX-ACCESS read-write and is member of a Table. I am
trying following command
snmpset -v2c -cpublic localhost MY-MIB::Variable.1 U 1234
But agent sends back a response with error status as WRO

I am compiling net-snmp under freebsd and was wondering what
would be the best version to use. There are two sets of servers I am
building this from, one would be: Freebsd 4.11 and the other is
Freebsd 7.x. What versions would you suggest for both builds? I
