Hi,
How can i configure the agent address field present in the v1 TRAP PDU.
I have tried following option given in net-snmp man page of snmp.conf, but
it seems to be of no help.
clientaddr [transport-specifier:]transport-address

Hi,
You can simply use trapsink for V1 traps
Sysntax:
# trapsink: A SNMPv1 trap receiver
# arguments: host [community] [portnum]
Eg:
trapsink 127.0.0.1
thanks.

LPAR, as i don't know if there is any official development of NetSNMP for AIX,
i'm not posting this as a bug.

Can you please try with the '5.5.pre2' release code.
There has been some work done recently
The option trapsink will set the address where TRAP pdu will be sent(snmp
Manager)
If u see the TRAP v1 pdu format , it has an agent address field. I want to
know how to configure this field from config file or may be from some other
way (if any).

No - not that file - that's essentially private to the agent.
You need another snmpd.conf file - probably in either
/etc/snmp (if the agent is vendor-supplied) or
/usr/local/share/snmp (if you compiled it yourself).
