I'm trying to figure out the snmptable command.
I've downloaded the Java7 MIB [1] and use it as follows
$ snmptable dp -m +JVM-MANAGEMENT-MIB -Ch
1.3.6.1.4.1.42.2.145.3.163.1.1.4.20
and always get
JVM-MANAGEMENT-MIB::jvmRTInputArgsTable: No entries

I'm using snmptrapd and get link up/down from a Nortel Networks switch:
The snmptrapd logs the traps in the logfile. But sometime, the value
from the MAC-Address is misinterpreted (as string, eg. "`s\\/c(")
In the network capture from tcpdump, the bytecode from a working trap
and
i recently downloaded the v5.1 miss from vmware and attempted to have an
snmpwalk load them … this is not happening … here's a simpler and smaller
example of what's happening:
$ ls VMWARE-ROOT-MIB.mib
VMWARE-ROOT-MIB.mib
$ head VMWARE-ROOT-MIB.mib
