Last week we heard from approximately 40 people (including a number of
private emails).
I just send a fresh renewal message and will do this for the next 2
weekends.
It's fascinating to learn more about the lives, thought and work being done
by old comrades, and list lurkers and to hear
Thumbs up for accessible non-facetime non-VR online spaces like
gather.town; Calla is another interesting one which uses spatial audio
and a 2D map and is open source.
Bit off topic (though on list), but I can't help also mention the
beautiful _The Endless Forest_ by Auriea Harvey and Michael
we are using gather.town and ohyay as well as zoom for the
Bodies:On:Live festival next week, which suzon posted about earlier
today. both of these platforms are quite easy to use, not VR or 3D so no
special equipment required, & they allow various other things like
avatars as well as audio-video.
