should be set within the scan processing function, not later. When NM
tries to resolve hidden essids by matching bssids, NM should only look
at the networks in Gconf which are hidden (broadcast value false).

2. Two patches were made to ipw2200 version 1.1.3. From the Changelog

* Reassociate even if set the same essid (thanks to Bill Moss)
With these patches in place, my tests show that NM is much more robust
to connect if I do. Experiments
continue.

I like the streamlined look you get by deleting the 'Wireless Networks'
heading. See the graphic in the previous message. What you see is a list
of networks and the ones that are wireless are obvious from the signal
quality progress bars.

I have a FC4 test2+ setup on an IBM T42 using the ipw2200-1.0.3. I had
to up the minor version of dbus in libnm_glib.c from 31 to 32 to get NM
to compile. NM seems to work OK.

the panel-applet's only dependency on libgnomeui, so the #include can be
removed too. Patch attached.
The only remaining dependency on libgnomeui is gnome-password-dialog in
info-daemon/NetworkManagerInfoVPN.c, but that's not deprecated yet.
