Took the time to make a slide show of my recent trip if you are interested.

Once the wrap gets soaked with oil it will always smoke. I'd just fix the
leak.
That is up to the beholder.
Wet the wrap before installing, it helps to get it nice and tightly wound.

+1 on the above. I have a near mint '85 and would likely not take less than
$2,500. In the ad, the seat is aftermarket (cover), too. Here is SC, based on
info, i would be fairly firm at $1,200 for that one.
