I have done those two upgrades to my 750 and I think they are the best.
Progressive for the forks, and I bought Russell Sanders SS lines for the
front brake. Love them.

If I'm not mistaken, the AC model tanks just have different vent hookups to
handle the EVAP canister installed on those bikes.

economics of motorcycles is poor in the US, and dealers in my experience
charge retail prices for everything.
