I went to my local Honda dealership to look at a cb300f today. I wanted to see

recall. Apparently there is something wrong with the cranks & each bike has to

Could be that the filter screen in the petcock that comes out of the fuel tank
is semi plug. You'll have to drain the tank and take the petcock off and
unscrew the lower part where that screen is in. At least that is the way it is

Sounds like it could be valves or it could be a head gasket. A wet test usually
indicates ring wear. Take a vacuum gauge to the intake. If the needle jumps

however, bore can get pitted & let pressure bypass through the bore. Work the
brake lever with the top off the reservoir. If you see bubbles or fluid come
back up in, you will have to replace master cylinder? Piston

Start in the middle and work your way out using an "X" pattern. Go up 5 -10 lbs
or whatever the book says until you get to max torque. That will mean doing it

My understanding has been that pressure from that fuel can/will put a ring
groove of the needle as it sets against the seat of the jet. I almost always
turn my fuel off. I forgot to this summer & that is part of the problems I am
