Yea if you go too big on the mains it will break up at higher RPMs and
speeds. Take the airbox door off and see if it fixes the problem. If so
either put in smaller jets or make some holes in the airbox.

Battery side always goes missing. I think people break/lose them over
winter when they take the battery out to stick it on a charger.

impression was that it was a good unit that may look a bit flimsy but in
reality is reliable and durable. It lacks features the Scala or Sena have
like a built in radio, auto volume, multi intercom, and voice command but I
I have an 83 650 that I got from the wife's uncle (who got at a Detroit
police auction). I fixed it up and got about 1.5 seasons but then it
developed what I think is a rod knock.
It also has the usual cam chain noise, plus a noisy 5th gear (hums) and a
split oil passage where the oil pipe feeds
On my 96 750 I am using a 4-to-1 Vance Hines and it did not required
re-jetting (although I am sure it will make an improvement). Only thing I
did was the washer mod. I am sure you can find kits for almost any japanese
carburator (Allen will know better this). Which bike are talking about?

When going to a 4 into 1 exhaust does the bike need to be re-jetted? Does
anyone still make a jet kit for these carbs?
