Yep. I did it before thinking why not... Which was fine... But annoying haha

Lol... I litterally just did this over the winter. You won't need to drain
the oil but be damn careful when getting the old gasket out or scraping it
off so that no debris falls into the engine. I changed my oil after I did
it tho

I had the in line fuel filter in since ever and haven't had an issue. I
thought about the gas cap being an issue but I'm not sure where or how to
check that

And yet I still can't figure out my electrical gremlin lol

Omg. Seafoam? Really? Lol... Sorry but that's not a fix that a shop should
be recommending... You're better off taking the carbs apart and
meticulously going th rough every single orface to clean it. Seafoam is
nothing more than glorified butane.

Do you still have the set of carbs?

It's been an issue since I bought the bike. When I bought it, someone had
already installed aftermarket LED garbage signals which never worked
anyways. And they were spliced in. I'm not a fan of electrical things for
this reason. Lol

Graham... How exactly do I check the brake switch manually?

Just buy new ones. They're cheap enough.

On that note, I have my turn signals, but the rubber is split at back

Any ideas on what types of material will fuse rubber?
Rubber cement I have found out, is temporary adhesive.

It doesn't charge when it's idling. You'll have to have the RPMs over 2k to
get a decent charge out of it.
On Mon, Nov 5, 2018, 4:36 PM Darin Hatton Hello everyone. Got a 85 cb700s nighthawk about a month ago from a friend.

If you're having consistent power issues, check the usual suspects like
plugs, wires. Use premium non ethanol gas. Clean carbs for sure and have a
sync hooked up to see where they're at.

No.. Just turn it off when you're done riding it. Occasionally I'll shut it
off when it is running so I can drain thr carbs of older fuel but it's not
necessary to do. I clean them every year anyways in the spring

I have a 83 nighthawk which is light blue in color. I've never seen one before
this one (and I'm fairly familiar with bikes in general). It also has blue
tipped exhaust which is a never before seen thing as well. I would like to
think it's factory just due to how the entire internal piece of
