They charge $55 just to mount and balance (and you have to dispose of your old
tires yourself). That’s per tire.

Graham, Where did you purchase it from? Same guys as in my link or
elsewhere? The 4into1 charges 65 for UPS ground for these (bringing the
final price w/tax to about $230) or so. Thanks

Your first option is what I just put on a CB650SC this morning. Took me
about an hour or so to take the old tires off and mount the new ones and
that’s with sticking the new valve in the wrong way and 5 minutes
contemplating which way the tires go on. Even with the arrow on the tire

I'm an economical guy & not an aggressive rider. I've used the Shinko & Kenda
in the past with no issues. Looking at the ratings Kenda would be the better
choice of the two.

Echo stay away from Metzler. Grip is poor & price is relatively high.
Michelin Commander 2 is a long running good grip tire, however not a low price
tire. Ran the last pair for 24000 miles. Local shop charges $ 30 for mount &
balance. Make sure to balance for vibration free cruising.

If anyone knows of any good shop around me - let me know.
Otherwise I'll be doing it myself.
And yes, I'll be getting a set of both the front/back just to be safe.
I was looking for an earlier thread on the tires and can't find one - can
someone point me to it?
