It was fixed with this:

All my VirtualBox machines now consistently cause a kernel stack trace
(in my physical NixOS machine) when trying to start them. Rebooting
and nix-channel --update && nixos-rebuild switch doesn't change it.
Does anyone else have that? New machines also cause crash when

I'd try the LD_PRELOAD trick before going for a chroot solution.

Hi all,
Why doesn't "nix-env -f. -qaP \* | grep gnome3" inside nixpkgs source
tree display anything? I can see the "gnome3" attribute in
all-packages.nix and I can nix-build -A gnome3., so I know
it's there.
