on some platforms,
tought for those users, do it where you can.
Don't forget to test on nfs-mounted filesystems too; I've had a few programs fail on
nfs-mounts - StarOffice and ypbind amongst them.

3) My procmail recipes didn't implement locking because I assumed nmh did.
4) nmh didn't lock anything, (and I think mh doesn't either).
Lack of locking is a problem that needs to be fixed. I lost a few dozen emails
over a couple of days.

I think I've had this problem before too, with other commands in nmh.

I've just done a diff against an unadulterated format file; the difference
is that I've introduced trailing spaces because L like a space after the
colon and the default format files do not have them. That is, I want to be
presented with a message starting
"To: " not "To:"
The spaces is, I
would like nmh/exmh to
a) Create prototype documents with the spaces already following the colons
b) Not to barf on my 'new improved' format files. I don't see that
trailing white space should be an error.

Presumably the concern is with possibly sensitive internal

Doesn't make sense to this poor old hack; how is this a greater risk than
someone just using the 'forward' button?

a) Call the real one
b) Terminate the program.
Compiler messages are unimportant, though an explanatory comment at the
function to explain why it's there would be a Good Thing.

etween the user nmh allows simpler customisation
than changing post itself; while I chose to insert a fcc header, others
might prefer to file it differently, or even pick a random quote to insert
at the end.
