I also use cal but not ncal.
I have a mobile phone with an internet connection, and I can also send
text messages by email and place phone calls with a SIP client.
I typically type the phone number in to the SIP client rather than
using the clipboard, even if the SIP client is on
I sent him an email privately, it's actually orgro instead of orgrow. It's an adaptation of the emacs "org" mode.You can find it at http://orgro.org

FWIW, I am part of the Apple ecosystem, and I just feed iCalendar files
to the Calendar app; so far, works great. Except that if it's a "request"
