[No Thirst Software] Re: I just can't get started
Another option is to just set the cash flow start date to a future date and MoneyWell will behave more like a traditional finance package. Yay for reconciliation! Your Starting Date on your statement should be the date of your starting balance transaction if you want to use the zero method described on the FAQ. Sorry for not catching that. [No Thirst Software] Re: I just can't get started
Because I haven't reconciled my bank statement for about 5 months. I used to import everything manually into Quicken - then learned that it could be imported automatically, but the Mac version of Quicken couldn't do this. So I waited ... and then I found out that MoneyWell can do it. So, I have my May 26, 2009 statement, and I want everything to be reconciled. Make sense? [No Thirst Software] Re: I just can't get started
OK, follow-up question. If I assume that the instruction in the FAQ to set the Starting Balance at $0 is incorrect ... if I set it instead to what my actual starting balance was on 12/5/08, then I get a big green checkmark ... and a Difference of $0. Is my account now reconciled? If so, is there a next step? There's no "OK" button to check... thanks On May 31, 7:49 am, DavidO wrote: > OK, I've trashed my Preferences (at least three times) to start over. > All my accounts get imported without incident from Bank of America > (California). > > I've gone through the first steps in the How to Reconcile FAQ without > success: > > 1. [No Thirst Software] Re: I just can't get started
David, I'll let Kevin answer this one but why are you reconciling right off the bat? Right after downloading your info? Isn't reconciling supposed to be used when you input some entries yourself, as you spend, and then reconcile after you've done the download? I never input by hand so I never reconcile. I may be totally off base here but you sound desperate...
