This sucks. I'll have to wait until I get home. Robin aka CherryMoon Moderator: No worries, the album sucks too. You can wait till you get home. Planet Earth is basically Chaos and Disorder Pt. 2. Only difference is they are a better choice of songs in PE. I am extremely dissapointed in PE.

I AM looking forward to the remixes of Chelsea Rodgers, now that you mention it. Man if DJ Spinna gets a hold of that it's going to be CRAZY. I will personally play a Chelsea Rodgers remix on Mobile Soul, but then my show is a lot of house, so it fits. The rest of the album? I can't use. It's

Well, now THAT I disagree with. Just because something doesn't move you on first listen doesn't mean that at another time you can't appreciate its genius. Some of my favorites totally missed me on first listen. (In fact, I'm already liking Mr. Goodnight :)) Then of course, there are others

Honestly, I think this entire album probably sounds better live. Think about it. How many of you were feeling the 3121.com version of Guitar? I was happier with the Planet Earth version personally. Maybe that is a part of his design (doubtful), but theres a good chance this sounded better when he

Moderator: Oh! Let's talk about that last part for a sec. Grow On Me. I noticed that term being used a lot on Prince fans lately. It's not very good, but it will grow on me. That is pretty sad that anything has to grow on anyone. Its like maybe if I less to it enough I will brainwash myself into

You know if my CD copies of ATWIAD and Parade weren't so sh*tty, I'd probably listen to them more often. Moderator:I would hurt someone for a few remasters. I took it upon myself to fix Purple Rain and Sign O time with Sound Forge a few years back. The difference is amazing -Derek : M: :

I don't know if that's true. If you listen to the radio (which sadly I do periodically), the same songs are played over and over and over again. Not ONE of them that I hated did I grow to like. Accustomed to, maybe, but like, let alone appreciate? No. For example, anything at all by AKON. :)

Yo..I hated 1999, PR, Parade and Lovesexy upon first listen. Grow on me is not a derogatory term regarding the music. We in this age are so quick to take a spin, listen to downloads, leaks etc and then be meh, it stinks! without giving the music a chance to mentally marinate..to take it

I do think that musically it is much more interesting than Musicology and 3121, in terms of production, arrangements, and composition. But yeah the lyrics are really clumsy at points. I especially cringed at Lion of Judah--coming from a Caribbean background drenched in Rastafarianism roots

The term does predate Rastafarianism and Bob Marley so I'm sure his use of the phrase isn't intended to evoke either. Victor - Original Message - From: NPS [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 9:14 pm Subject: Re: NPNY: Planet Earth...Listen to it. To: npny@lists.panix.com I
