[ns] IMS support in NS-2
Dear NS-2 users, I would like to know if there is any support for the 3GPP IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) in NS-2. If you know any implementation of IMS in any other simulation tool please let me know Thank you very much for your time, Yours sincerely. Michael Sidiropoulos - Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo! Re: [ns] segmentation fault(core dumped)
Hello Yaser, I think you have run out of memory. Try save some by disabling some trace options from your trace file( you can do that from your tcl script). Another suggestion would be to disable some packet headers Look for this at chapter 12 in the ns-2 manual as ns includes all packets headers of all protocols in every packet by default. This a lot of overhead. Another idea also would be to use also hierarchical routing ( look in chapter 29).This is a way to reduce memory requirements for your simulation. Hope the above will help you! regards, Michael Yaser Mahmood [EMAIL PROTECTED] έγραψε: i have made a simple wireless ad hoc networks with 50 nodes,1000s simulation time..but there is a fault not allowed to run the program for 1000s and program is terminated with a fault known as segmentation fault(core dumped)..please any one can help me.. yas.. - Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo! [ns] large delay values?
Hello ns-users, I have a question regarding the end to end delay in ns2 for a wireless simulation. What does it include?I am asking that because in my simulation i am getting large values of delay, to be more spesific it is about 4 seconds. Is it normal? I am measuring the average delay of each node in a scenario where 5 stations transmit CBR traffic to one node which acts as a traffic sink for all the others. Can you also tell me whether the sending time for every packet that i am getting from the trace file in the AGT level is it before or after the stations IFQ buffer? If it is before then i suppose queueing delay is included in my delay measures.Am i correct? Is that an explanation of the large delay values? Any opinion on the above is extremely welcomed, Thanks for your time, Michael - Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo! Βαρεθήκατε τα ενοχλητικά μηνύ ματα (spam); Το Yahoo! [ns] setting contention window on each node
Good evening ns-users, Is there any idea on how i can set different contention window ranges (CWmin,CWmax) on each node? Can i do that from the tcl script with a particular command? Or do i have to modify any ns2 source code? I would be grateful if you could give me any advice or hint on this subject Thanks in advance for your attention and time, Regards, Michael - Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo! [ns] simulation time in ns-2
Hello everyone!! I have a question regarding simulation time in ns-2 I am using ns-2.27 version and i have noticed that the calculated throughput in my wireless scenario changes as the simulation time increases. What simulation time should i set to my tcl script in order to get accurate throughput results? Any point or hint is extremely welcomed Thanks for your attention!!! Regards, Michael - Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo! Βαρεθήκατε τα ενοχλητικά μηνύ ματα (spam); Το Yahoo!
