[ns] Instant Delay

2011-02-19 Thread jasmine Nforh Paula

Hello All,
Can anybody help me with the code to measure instand delay? I use as below:
awk -f instantdelay_v2.awk tic=1.0 src=14 dst=6 flow=2 pkt=160 diff_expo.res
but didn't get any output but for throughput it works well.
Also I need help about measuring drop rate if possible.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi,

The no-slot error occurs since
you did not configure the classifier
properly. In particular, you ask NS2 to send a packet to a non-existing
object.

For more information, please read the following post:

I'm using ns-allinone-2.29 with sip and mobility package install. I have been
able to send two udp traffic  and sip messages cos I have two sip proxy in my
topology   to two MultifaceNode that contain UMTS, WIMAXS and WIFI .I created
a udp connection between the two sending host and MultiFaceNode . Then I sent
udp packets accordingly.
My code works well but when i applied differential service I get the folowing

I connect the two sip proxy  out of the differential service domain connecting
proxy 2 to and access router and proxy1 to a node between host0 and host1 but I
still get the same error.
I also tried to use manual routing, but I can get a clue of the problem.

Could someone help me? Please tell me how to solve this problem. Do I have to
modify my topology or is there problrm with my addressing. I am using
hierarchical addressing with 7 domain.
I am running out of time as I supppose to have summit my report for my master

workshop on sustainable, green networking collocated with the
Networking conference and sponsored by the IFIP Technical Committee on
Communication Systems (TC6). The main objective of SUNSET 2011 is to
bring together experts in the area of sustainable networking from both
academia and industry. The workshop addresses issues with a high
potential of energy savings in wireless and wired access for local and
core networks.

--

Workshop topics:

- Energy-efficient broadband access networks
- Sustainable wireless communication
- Energy-efficient network management
- Energy-efficient data center communication
- Energy-efficient network components (routers, switches, etc.)
- Network virtualization for reducing power consumption
- Monitoring concepts for energy-efficient network management
- Energy-efficient end-to-end networking
- Green network planning and design
- Energy efficient network hardware improvements
- Energy-efficient communication protocols
- Techniques for measuring and estimating power consumption in networks
- Economic aspects and models of energy efficiency in networks

- Important Dates:

     Abstract due: December 14, 2010
Full Paper Submission: December 18, 2010
     Acceptance Notification: February 10, 2011
Camera ready due: March 1, 2011

- Guidelines for Submission:

Authors are invited to submit full papers via the EDAS Conference
Management System. Only original papers describing previously
unpublished, not currently under review by another conference or
journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development must be
submitted.

All papers will be peer reviewed and accepted papers will appear in the
workshop proceedings, LNCS published by Springer-Verlag, in the
Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. (TBC)

Papers must be written in English and should follow the instructions in
the Springer template file available in both LaTeX and Microsoft Word
format.

The first page should include paper title, an abstract of about 150
words,3-5 keywords indicating the paper topic area and symposium, name
and affiliation of author(s) as well as the corresponding author's
e-mail and postal addresses.
Maximum paper length is 8 printed pages (10-point font).

[ns] Your kind response

2010-11-05 Thread jasmine Nforh Paula

Hello Salvi,
Thanks oncemore for finding time from your busy schedule to help me go through
this work.
I
have got all the necessary but I can explain why I can't sort out how
package is send to the UMTS base station and interface as it does for
WiMAX and Wifi.
for example:
At 30.131050 in 4.0.1 ND module received RA from node 4.0.0
    router-lifetime=1800.00 s
    prefix valid_lifetime=5 s
    prefix=4.0.0
    advertisement interval=1000 ms
    - New neighbor
At 30.131050 in 5.0.0 Handover1 received new prefix 4.0.0
old address: 4.0.1, prefix=4.0.0, new address will be 4.0.1
At 30.131050 in 5.0.0 MIH Agent sending capability discovery request
The new up interface is better...checking for flows to redirect
Studying flow 0 using interface 0.0.2
Must redirect flow from interface 0.0.2 to 4.0.1
The new up interface is better...checking for flows to redirect
Studying flow 0 using interface 4.0.1
Must redirect flow from interface 4.0.1 to 4.0.1
At 30.131050 MIPv6 Agent in 5.0.0 send redirect message using interface 4.0.1
At 30.162105 MIPv6 Agent in 1.0.1 received redirect packet from 4.0.1
At 30.190739 MIPv6 Agent in 5.0.0 received ack for redirect packet from 1.0.1
At 30.236881 in 4.0.0 MIH Agent received capability discovery request
At 30.236881 in 4.0.0 MIH Agent sending capability discovery response
At 30.238783 in 5.0.0 MIH Agent received capability discovery response
At 30.238783 in 5.0.0 Handover1 received MIH_Capability_discover.confirm
    Remote MIHF: Id = 2,
Here I think this where the first hand over take place.
I my output file i can get series of WiMax to Wifi to Mimax but not UMTS like
as follows:
