Thank you for reporting this issue.

Can you provide some more information how to trigger this bug?
What type of schedule did you choose? Simple or custom cron definition. What
did you define?
Do daily backups work for you?

Thanks.

Bug description:

execline = if [ -x '/usr/local/share/nssbackup' ]; then
/usr/local/share/nssbackup; fi;
Par:
execline = if [ -x '/usr/local/share/nssbackup/nssbackup' ]; then
/usr/local/share/nssbackup/nssbackup; fi;

Merci de vos retours

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 577112] Re: nssbackup crashes with: GtkWarning: could not open display warnings.warn(str(e), _gtk.Warning)

2010-05-17 Thread Jean-Peer Lorenz
Hi Martin,

some more questions:
Do you have your root account enabled?
Are you logged in while the backup starts?
Do manuell backups (as user/as root) work for you? From terminal/from GUI?
Can you post a full log of the issue with debug loglevel enabled?

I'm out of ideas so far. The only issue I'm seeing is this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+bug/330646. But it does not crash.
I'd really like to fix this issue but I need a hint. Could this somehow be
related with https://bugs.launchpad.net/sbackup/+bug/294104 you've fixed in
sbackup (dbus related)?

I'm sorry for your trouble and thanks for your help.

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 573733] Re: nssbackup does not prevent itself from running in parallel.

2010-05-17 Thread Jean-Peer Lorenz
Brief update: I've made a quick check and for me it works: I've executed
sbackupd from terminal and started another sbackupd process after a
short period of time. The second process was aborted with the (expected)
error 'nssbackup already running'.

Conclusion: not easy to reproduce for me - I need more information
about your settings etc.

P.S.: Did you tried to run a simple test backup locally in order to
exclude problems related to FTP connection? This question holds for any
of your reported bugs.

Thanks.

I meant nssbackupd rather than sbackupd. I'm a bit confused about the
naming currently.

Not sure if this helps, but I've had the experience writing large files
to an ftp sever (DVD image in that case), where the write performance
seemed to decrease very slowly, but exponentially (!). Could this be the
case for you?

Can you check progress of your seemingly non-ending backup by monitoring
the file size of the tgz file on the ftp server, to confirm that it is
getting progressively slower?

2010-05-17 Thread Frank R. Gross
Update from me:

I just deleted the old sbackup's archives from my stick and ran
nssbackup to make backups from scratch and everything worked well. No
more TypeError: %d format: a number is required, not str for me so
far. I'll keep you posted if there are any more errors in this regard
when my auto-backup is done tomorrow evening.

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 577296] Re: Crash, with %d format: a number is required, not str

2010-05-17 Thread Jean-Peer Lorenz
A fix for this problem is already committed to the 0.2 series branch and
will be included in the next release (the final 0.2.0 release) in short
time.

The error is triggered if not enough free disk space is available for
the current backup. In such cases an error message is printed, and this
message is errorneous. Due to this fact, the problem vanished for you
after you've deleted old backups.
